Rusty -- he's our wonderful little doggie. But what type of dog is he? He looks like a red-headed golden retriever, but he's only 29 lbs fully grown. He might be mixed with a spaniel, but some have speculated he is a special breed of Retriever called a Duck Toller. We rescued him from a shelter in early August, 2001 and had to give him a name -- Rusty just seemed to fit. He's been a wonderful companion and a welcome addition to our home. These photos were taken in our yard, August, 2001.

Rust get's the run of the yard -- up to a point. He can run from the house through the deck opening, and down into the yard. We've got him hooked up to a cable running from the house to the tree you see here -- about 75 feet. Our back yard is about 1/3 of an acre, and we're sure Rusty wishes he could run all over... | |
