Flew to Moorea mid/late morning. Van ride to Beachcomber Moorea was kinda wild. Checked in, ate lunch, walked around checking things out. Went to sleep at 3pm.
Woke up around 7am (slept 16 hours). Took our time, made it to lunch. Went and registered for 4x4 trip, dolphin experience for tomorrow. We watched the 3pm dolphin experience to know what it would be like. Met Ronda and Mike from Canada -- took pictures of them with the dolphin. Went snorkeling in the lagoon (Dave's first time), saw lot of neat fish. Awesome! Had dinner in main restaurant in the resort, then went to bed.
Got up late -- went directly to the dohphin experience at 8:45am. Rhonda met us -- she videotaped us with the dohphin. Went home, changed, ate lunch, went on 4x4 trip. Saw "Magic Mountain" -- 600ft high, difficult roads, neat scenery and wonderful views. Saw ancient temple, ate some bana ice cream ($10 for 2 cones and large water), then drove to waterfall. The Land Rover got a workout! Rained on the way to the waterfall, lots of mud. Had to walk last 15 minutes to get to the waterfall. We got prety muddy! Finished the trip by going around the island Met honeymooners from Phoenix on the 4x4 tour. Dinner was a Polynesian barbecue. It was held inside because of bad weather, though it was wonderful outside... go figure! Most dishes were "different" -- wierd desserts. Everything was served buffet style. There was a Polynesian dance -- one hula dancer pulled Dave on to the dance stage (thankfully the video didn't turn out!) Walked home and marveled at the stars... Thought about checking email but a lady was hogging the computer with internet access...
